Depending on where you live, data-protection law gives you rights over the personal data we hold about you. Calculator inputs are processed in your browser and never reach our servers, so for most visitors there is very little to hold. What follows applies to the limited data we do hold — such as a message you send through our contact form, or optional consent-controlled analytics. EU/UK residents (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing, and withdrawal of consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
You have the right to know what categories of personal information are collected and how they are used, to delete or correct it, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (including for cross-context behavioural advertising), and to non-discrimination for exercising any of these rights.
We do not sell personal information for money, and third-party advertising cookies are not currently loaded. If advertising is enabled in future, opt-out controls will include Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info, or you can send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from your browser, which we honor as an opt-out without a separate request.
Other residents
Even where a specific law does not name you, we apply the same practical approach on request: tell us what you want to know, correct, or remove, and we will handle it consistently with the rights above wherever reasonably possible.
How to exercise a right
Email us at our contact address or use the contact page and tell us which right you want to exercise. We may need to verify your identity first, and an authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with appropriate proof. We aim to respond within the legal time frame — generally one month under the GDPR and 45 days under the CCPA/CPRA, extendable where permitted. Some requests are subject to legal exceptions; if we cannot fully action one, we will explain why.
